Attempting to Wear Cool Tones...

A few things I'm not comfortable with: chipped nails in public, pre-dressed salad, too short of shorts after 25, and cool tones on my eyes.

I recently had my hair colored. Yes, the perfect ombre color is underway. However, when I left the salon my hair was a blue-purple silver shade at the ends. My hairdresser claims this is the process of getting cool blonde when lifting hair from its deep brunette base. Okay, we'll see.

My immediate thoughts on my hair being this purple silver are let's try cooler makeup - warm tones might be too high of a contrast and look off. And this is hard for me! I live in orange and caramel based colors on my eyes.

I used the ABH Modern Renaissance palette to achieve this look, and it definitely isn't my favorite look on me, but I didn't hate it. Instead of immediately using Raw Sienna and Burnt Orange, I dipped into Buon Fresco and packed Red Ochre on the lids. Throwing on a liner was absolutely necessary today, I used the NYX Liquid Felt Tip Liner. BOMB.com.

Lips are MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare and MAKE UP FOR EVER Liquid Lipstick in shade 102. A fabulous pale nude.

How do you wear cool tones?
